Draft, negotiate, and monitor domestic and international aircraft finance contracts (loans and leases) for TFC. Responsible for contract processing procedures and activities, reviews contract requests and proposals, and serves in a liaison capacity across departments. Works closely with the customer, sales, legal, customer account management and credit teams providing documentation and loan/lease closing support for all aspects of aircraft financing transactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct support to the sales function on closing aircraft finance transactions.
- Extensive preparation of aircraft lease and loan documents, coordinating proper document execution, arranging escrow closings, coordinating between legal, manufacturer, and customer to finalize all details of the closing, communicating funding requirements to customers and accounting, and completing the account setup and activation on the receivables system.
- Work in a team environment, interact with credit and legal team to ensure that contract obligations will be completed within the timeline.
- Extensive interaction with legal, accounting, credit, and customer account management functions to gather and provide transaction/customer specific information.
- Consistent and overriding attention to detail in all work products.
- Provides guidance to ensure all contract activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Works as a communication bridge between legal and other functional departments for resolution of contract issues.
- May be required to work with outside attorneys to negotiate contract terms and language.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and deliver positive results for TFC and its customers.
- Ability to raise contractual risks in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or experience in related field
- Minimum 2 years of sales, contracts, project management, aviation industry or relative experience required
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Foreign Language Skills beneficial
- Possess good analytical skills used in conjunction with computer programs and applications for developing lease/loan documents
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills
- Strong presentation, leadership, and team-building skills
- Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues
- Professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with customers and interdepartmental personnel
- Intuitive problem solver
- Manage stressful and time-sensitive situations in support of the closing of transactions
