Job Description

Contracts Administrator

Build the Agreements That Build Great Projects

Location: Phoenix, AZ (On Site) Department: Preconstruction

Why This Role

At GCON, exceptional projects start with exceptional partnerships, and every partnership starts with a well-crafted contract. We deliver some of the most demanding work in the industry, including semiconductor fabrication facilities and mission-critical data centers, and the agreements behind that work have to be just as precise as the construction itself.

As a Contracts Administrator, you'll own the documents that protect the business and keep our teams moving forward with confidence. This is a role for someone who likes solving problems, working across departments, and taking real ownership. You'll make independent decisions within your area while learning from experienced leaders in legal, finance, operations, and project management. If you want to grow from contract administration into a strategic contracts professional, this is a place to do it.

What You'll Do

Contract Administration

  • Draft, review, revise, and administer commercial agreements, subcontract agreements, NDAs, purchase orders, vendor agreements, and customer contracts.
  • Maintain contract files, amendments, renewals, and correspondence across the full contract lifecycle.
  • Monitor milestones, expirations, insurance requirements, and compliance obligations.

Contract Review and Risk Assessment

  • Review agreements for completeness, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Identify contractual risks, inconsistencies, and commercial concerns, then recommend practical solutions and language revisions.
  • Escalate legal or high-risk matters appropriately while bringing thoughtful recommendations to the table.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, Risk Management, and Legal to keep contract execution on schedule.
  • Serve as a go-to internal resource on contract terms, processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Help develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Recommend improvements that streamline contract workflows.
  • Ensure executed agreements comply with company policies and applicable legal requirements, and keep records, approvals, signatures, and supporting documentation accurate and current.

What Makes You Successful

You exercise sound judgment and take ownership of your work. You enjoy finding practical business solutions, can work independently while knowing when collaboration produces a better outcome, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay naturally curious, and balance attention to detail with an eye on the bigger business picture.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 7 years in contract administration, commercial contracts, procurement, subcontract administration, legal operations, or a related field.
  • Experience reviewing commercial agreements and contract documentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, mission-critical, or commercial real estate industries.
  • Familiarity with subcontract agreements, AIA documents, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
  • Experience with ERP or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems such as CMiC, Oracle, SAP Ariba, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, or CobbleStone.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation principles and commercial risk management.
