Location: 203A Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville, MD 21666-2128
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $55k-$85k per year

Hydrasearch, a proud affiliate of The Dixon Group, is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our team in Stevensville, MD!

As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing orders from our government/DOD customers from initiation through shipment. Our business is contract-driven, and we are a critical and essential supplier to United States military branches where quality is paramount. This position serves as a primary point of contact for government contracts and is responsible for identifying, documenting, and assuring adherence to all contractual obligations with respect to design, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality documentation.

What You'll Do:

  • Pre-Contract Support: Support the Sales team during the pre-contract stage by reviewing defense contracts and ensuring our ability to meet all contractual requirements before accepting the order.

  • Contract Review: Review new defense contracts to identify and document all requirements related to Engineering, Quality, Packaging, and Shipping.

  • Compliance & Alignment: Compare customer requirements to existing parts requirements with respect to dimensions, materials, marking, and special processes through a thorough review of drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and job routings.

  • Conflict Resolution: Address any ambiguity or conflicts between customer requirements and existing part requirements with the customer and/or internal functional teams.

  • Customer Relations: Establish a strong working relationship with key customer contacts as a primary point of contact for defense contracts.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with key internal functional areas (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Shipping) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure contract management activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and customer requirements.

  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience reviewing and managing contracts.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing and managing defense (DoD) or government contracts.

  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management environment.

  • Previous experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or manufacturing business platforms.

  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail in reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and customer-facing interactions.

  • Proven time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
