The Contracts Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end contract administration process across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely billing in accordance with customer contracts and sales orders. The role provides leadership to a team of Contract Administrators, ensuring high-quality execution of contract loading, billing, refunds, renewals, escalations, and data integrity. This position plays a key role in revenue assurance, contract governance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Team leadership and oversight

  • Lead and manage a team of 8 made up of license administrators, contacts and billing administrators and revenue accountants across 7 entities, providing daily guidance, coaching, and performance support.
  • Allocate and prioritise workload to ensure timely completion of tasks across all entities.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service delivery within the contracts team.
  • Familiarity with the terms and conditions for each entity

Contract Governance & Quality Control

  • Review and approve all contract calculations, billing inputs, and contract uploads to ensure accuracy and alignment with sales orders.
  • Approve refunds, cancellations and credit requests in accordance with internal governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure all contracts are processed in line with business policies, pricing approvals, and audit requirements.

Billing Accuracy & Revenue Assurance

  • Oversee accurate and timely billing across all entities, ensuring consistency with contracted terms, sales orders, and customer agreements.
  • Validate and consolidate project customer billing, ensuring correct categorisation and alignment with revenue structures.
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies, errors, or irregularities before invoicing.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit processes
  • Identify potential contractual, commercial, or billing risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation for audit readiness.

Contract Lifecycle Support

  • Oversee and verify annual price escalations, ensuring they are applied correctly and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support renewals, amendments, and contract changes, ensuring all updates are accurately captured.
  • Consolidate customer accounts where required to ensure streamlined and accurate billing.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to resolve contract queries and ensure alignment across functions.
  • Provide reporting, insights, and feedback to management on contract performance, team productivity, and risk areas.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in contract processes, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Support team training, development, and knowledge-sharing to elevate capability and performance.
  • Attending to journal entries and supporting documents
  • Ad-hoc finance duties as and when required
