
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractor customers and professional accounts
Assist contractors with product selection for construction jobs and projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Recommend complementary and higher-value products to maximize project success and sales opportunities
Provide expert advice on hardware, tools, building materials, and construction-related products
Generate quotes, place orders, and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with store departments to ensure product availability and smooth order processing
Deliver outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone
Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and new materials or tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales area
Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
Qualifications:
Previous experience in contractor sales, hardware retail, construction, or a related field preferred
Strong knowledge of tools, hardware, lumber, building materials, and construction processes
Proven ability to upsell and provide solution-based recommendations
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong customer service mindset with a professional and approachable demeanor
Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously
Basic computer skills and experience with POS or order management systems
Ability to lift and move products as needed (up to [weight requirement])
