Job Description

To provide support to Site Supervisors in the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling of a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

• Project manage multiple job sites.

• Determine project scope of works.

• Pre-Start check procedures.

• Appointment responsibility on key jobs.

• Assess and appointment project Quality Assurance.

• Create timelines and meet or beat them.

• Assess resources required to meet programme and procure resources where required.

• Assess supplier quotations.

• Assess resources required to meet programme.

• Managing programme.

• Compile job cost reports and attend ledger meetings.

• Monitor work standards and output and ensure work is always carried out to a workmanship standard and to industry best practice.

• Monitor contract labour performance versus agreed targets and document all variances.

• Recognise, value and process variations as required.

• Prepare and process progress claims.

• Ensure smooth and efficient administration process from job issue to invoicing.

• Manage Health and Safety within allocated projects. Manage and maintain the Aotea Electric in-house H&S system – training to be provided.

• Act as a role model.

• Participate in the company annual performance development process with a view to developing own skills and knowledge.

• Participate and meet all training, renewal, and continuing education/training for yourself and your team members personal development.

• Evaluate staff members as required for yearly reviews.

• Support supervisors/foreman to reach site goals and ongoing training goals.

• Measure Supervisor and Foreman’s reporting and make certain Apprentices on and off the job training are meeting the Skills requirements.

• Site training in setting up a site - protocols, programs, expectations, H&S, filing, completion of COC’s, producer statements, warranties, guarantees, and as-build manuals.

• Set expectations with team members about what results they are expected to deliver.

• Meet with existing and prospective clients to provide advice and promote Aotea Electric, seeking out new opportunities including quoting as needed.

• Regular meetings to discuss goals, one on one meetings.

• Assessments to improve team communication.

In addition to these tasks the employee shall undertake any other work required by the employer, where such work is determined to be part of the employer’s business and provided that the employer assessed the employee as having the skills required to undertake such work.
