Skills and Competencies
  • Minimum 3 years of contract-related experience, preferably in procurement, finance, legal, or sales support roles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing the end-to-end contract process from drafting through execution
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM and/or Apttus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
  • Undergraduate or first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) in finance, business administration, information systems, management, or another relevant field
Responsibilities
The Contract Specialist is responsible for managing the complete contract lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives while supporting sales and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract process for new business and renewals, supporting a dedicated sales team
  • Advise on optimal commercial approaches during sales pipeline reviews, setting expectations and proactively addressing contractual risks
  • Analyze account information, license parameters, and contract terms to support pricing, cross-selling, and renewal proposals
  • Independently draft Tier 1 sales contracts, delivering compliant, win-win solutions for both the business and clients
  • Exercise sound judgment throughout contract drafting and negotiation to resolve issues and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline contract processes, and drive operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Billing, and other stakeholders to review and align on complex contracts
  • Maintain accurate client data in CRM and related systems, and complete primary reviews of executed contracts to ensure compliance prior to order submission
About the Team
The global Operations & Strategy team enables business development objectives by managing the contracting process from start to finish. Partnering closely with Sales, Legal, and Finance, the team ensures contract terms meet client needs, comply with organizational standards, and support overall sales strategy. By joining this team, you will contribute directly to Moody’s success through collaboration, operational excellence, and a strong focus on process integrity.
