Job Description

Eurofins E&E North America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of customer and subcontractor agreements. This role is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, administering, and monitoring contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.

The Contract Specialist will serve as an in-house contract resource supporting Sales, Operations, Finance, and leadership teams, while managing contract activity for a localized business unit within North America. This position operates on a hybrid schedule and requires regular presence at the designated office location.

Here is what you'll do:

Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Subcontractor agreements
    • Amendments, addenda, extensions, and terminations
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers and subcontractors, including pricing, scope changes, performance obligations, indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, and insurance requirements.
  • Approve or reject deviation requests from contract specifications and delivery schedules in accordance with internal policy.
  • Correspond with subcontractors and clients regarding contract terms, compliance issues, and performance matters.

Contract Lifecycle & Data Management

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from proposal and bid support through execution, performance monitoring, renewal, extension, or termination.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date contract files and documentation.
  • Monitor expiring contracts and proactively coordinate renewals or renegotiations.
  • Ensure contract data is managed for timeliness, accuracy, and quality within internal systems.
  • Maintain organized contract repositories for localized operations.

RFP & Bid Support

  • Identify new RFP opportunities and coordinate internal response efforts.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in preparing bid proposals.
  • Assist Sales and Operations teams with quoting and closing business opportunities under existing managed contracts.
  • Ensure all client requirements are met for new and existing contracts and subcontracts.

Compliance & Performance Monitoring

  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine the need for amendments or extensions.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to FAR and DFARS regulations where applicable.
  • Escalate risk items and non-standard terms to leadership as necessary.

In-House Contract Support

  • Serve as the primary in-house reviewer for contracts before escalation to corporate or external legal counsel.
  • Provide internal guidance on contract interpretation and obligations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to contract administration and workflow efficiencies.

Qualifications

Who and what we are looking for:

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree and at least two (2) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Paralegal degree preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of FAR and DFARS rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
