The Ministry of Jobs Economy, Trade and Immigration is looking for two (2) Contract Services Coordinators.
Working within the framework of the Ministry’s business plan, and reporting to the South Region Manager of the Training and Employment Services Branch, the Contract Services Coordinator (CSC) is responsible for planning, procuring, and monitoring responsive labour market programs directly impacting Alberta’s workforce. Through collaboration, research, and analysis, the CSC identifies labour market needs and solutions to address current and anticipated skill and labour shortages in the province. The CSC is also responsible for planning and procuring services using program policy and established public procurement protocols. The CSC will evaluate and manage third party service providers delivering employment and training programs for Albertans via contracts and possibly grants. The CSC works independently with a high level of autonomy which requires strong organization, time-management and prioritization skills as well as sound judgement on when to seek guidance and escalate issues.

There are two (2) temporary positions (ends March 31, 2028) working 36.25 hours Monday to Friday.
Work location is Red Deer. One position may be considered for a Calgary location.
The final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo an academic check, references, may need to provide suitable security screening and may be asked to complete a written exercise and/or assessment.
