We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in Plantation, Florida.

Job Purpose:

  • Deliver high-quality contract risk management (“CRM”) support by identifying and evaluating contractual risks, recommending appropriate risk-mitigation measures and contract revisions, and providing trusted advice within the Insurance & Risk Management (“IRM”) product portfolio.
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Contract Risk Manager, support commercial stakeholders and collaborate with IRM colleagues to help achieve business objectives while maintaining best-in-class risk management standards.
  • Review global Master Service Agreements, bespoke and other non-standard customer contracts, and non-standard scopes of service. Provide advice regarding commercial positions and insurable and uninsurable exposures, taking into account IRM’s risk-versus-reward criteria.
  • Serve as an active member of IRM’s North American team and participate in deal-review forums, strategic initiatives, and other activities intended to strengthen CRM processes and address new and emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Account Management, and other stakeholders including regional and global IRM teams, Legal, Commercial Contract Management, Security, Finance, and Operations to provide coordinated and practical risk guidance.

Your tasks:

  • Develop a strong understanding of business-unit operating models and sector strategies to identify and evaluate associated contractual and operational risks.
  • Manage contract-risk inquiries by assessing their complexity, urgency, and subject matter and prioritizing them accordingly.
  • Review new and renewing customer contracts to identify risk-bearing provisions and recommend appropriate revisions to liability, indemnity, insurance, and other relevant terms.
  • Clearly and promptly communicate identified risks, potential business impact, and proposed solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide formal written advice to commercial teams that distinguishes insurable exposures from uninsurable business risks and identify matters requiring mitigation or business approval.
  • Provide ongoing support to commercial stakeholders throughout contract negotiations to help achieve business objectives while appropriately managing risk.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Contract Risk Manager, support the development and implementation of CRM strategies and process improvements across North America.
  • Participate in deal-review committees and similar decision-making forums addressing CRM matters, as required.
  • Collaborate with regional and global claims teams regarding bespoke customer contracts and claims-related provisions, as necessary.
  • Support monthly management reporting regarding CRM activities.
  • Support internal CRM initiatives and other non-customer-facing risk matters, as required.

Your profile:

  • Two to five years of professional experience reviewing and analyzing commercial contracts, including identifying and evaluating contractual risk. Experience drafting or negotiating contract terms is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contract terms and risk-bearing provisions, including liability, indemnification, limitations of liability, damages, and insurance requirements.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and clearly explain the potential impact of deviations from standard terms and conditions.
  • Experience providing practical advice and recommendations to decision-makers at various levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex contractual and risk issues clearly and concisely to a non-technical business audience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters with differing levels of complexity and urgency.
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain logistics, insurance, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, logistics, science, engineering, or mathematics. Advanced degree a plus, e.g., MS, MBA, or JD.
  • Fluency in English required.
