Job Description

Are you someone who enjoys finding great talent, building relationships, and helping people discover exciting opportunities? As a Contract Recruiter with Productive Playhouse, you'll play a key role in connecting talented individuals from around the world with meaningful project-based work.

In this role, you'll partner closely with our Recruitment Team to source, identify, and engage qualified candidates across a variety of language and project-based positions. You'll help build strong talent pipelines, conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate outreach efforts, and maintain accurate recruiting data to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.

This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, resourceful, and energized by working in a fast-paced, global environment where priorities can shift quickly and no two days look exactly the same. While this role does not make final hiring decisions, it serves as a critical partner to the Recruitment Team and plays an important part in helping Productive Playhouse attract and engage top talent worldwide.

This role is being hired on a contract basis; however, there may be an opportunity for conversion to a permanent position following a successful 90-day review period, subject to performance and business needs.

Compensation:
$22.50 USD per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify candidates Using job boards, professional networks, and internal databases.
  • Review incoming applications and screen for basic qualifications and project requirements.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach via email or messaging platforms to confirm interest and availability.
  • Maintain accurate and organized candidate data in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Support the coordination of interviews and candidate communication.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to understand project needs and hiring priorities.
  • Assist with posting and refreshing job advertisements across multiple platforms.
  • Provide regular status updates on candidate pipelines and sourcing progress.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or a related administrative or HR function (internship or academic experience welcome).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with job boards, sourcing tools, or applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
  • Interest in global hiring, languages, or international projects is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This is a remote role requiring a quiet, professional environment suitable for confidential work and video calls. fAbility to engage in virtual meetings.
  • Strong visual acuity for reviewing detailed documents and data on computer screens
  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer, including using a keyboard and mouse
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams
  • Flexibility to adjust schedules based on project needs, with occasional requests for additional hours during temporary projects.
  • Capacity to manage tasks that require prolonged periods of focus and concentration
