The Greenup County Health Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Contract Public Health Support Specialist.
General Duties include: Seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized individual to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily public health operations and providing excellent customer service to our community. Under direct supervision, the Public Health Support Specialist provides administrative and customer support for various public health programs and services. This position interacts regularly with patients, clients, and the public while assisting staff with scheduling, records management, billing support, and routine office operations using electronic medical records (EMR) system. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Greeting and assisting clients and visitors, answering and directing calls on a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments and directing clients to appropriate staff, data entry and maintaining accurate records/files, collecting and recording fees, assisting with WIC and clinical program support, preparing routine letters, forms, labels, and reports, ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory, and gathering patient and insurance information. Must have strong communication and customer service skills, basic computer and office skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Position Details
Starting Salary $13.50 – $15.00 per hour, negotiable with additional experience.
Minimum Education, Training or Experience High School Diploma or GED.
