
• As part of the Material Review Board (MRB), disposition Global 5500/6500/7500 cabin and aircraft structure nonconformities raised during completion activities, flight testing and delivery to end customers.
• Collaborate with and provide technical support to Operations, Methods and Quality.
• Consults with specialists within the engineering community (Flight Science, Stress, Flammability, Systems and others) as needed to secure optimum resolution.
• Consult with vendors on components outside of Bombardier’s design authority.
• Interpret Engineering drawings, specifications, and aircraft manuals. Ensure strict adherence to the design intent when replacing, reworking, or accepting nonconforming items.
• Collaborate with the Liaison Engineering community across all Bombardier sites.
• Participate in the Product Integrity Committee.
• Anticipate and consider end customer requirements.
• You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience. A technical degree with relevant aerospace experience will also be considered.
• You have the desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training. Currently having MRB is an asset.
• You are familiar with cabin interiors, metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation.
• You have experience dispositioning nonconformance in aerospace, an asset.
• You must be a team player with a collaborative approach.
• You are flexible and comfortable working under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
• You have sound technical judgement and a practical approach.
• You have good oral and written communication skills in English. French is a significant asset.
• You know how to browse Engineering mockups in CATIA V5.
