An opportunity has presented itself for a Contract Performance Analyst to join our Coal Commercial team. This role is preferably based in Brisbane or Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in commercial analytics, customer service or the resources sector. Whether you've gained experience through internships, university projects or broader professional roles, you'll have the opportunity to develop your analytical capability, work alongside experienced commercial professionals and contribute to meaningful business outcomes from day one.

What You'll Do

Support contract performance reporting and deliver data-driven insights that help optimise customer outcomes.

Reporting to the Optimisation Manager – Coal, you will:

• Analyse contract performance against key commercial terms and performance KPIs.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis and communicate actionable insights.
• Support the transition from manual reporting processes to more automated and scalable reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Managers and cross-functional teams to improve reporting, data quality and business decision-making.
• Build your commercial knowledge through exposure to contract management, customer engagement and operational performance.

What You'll Bring

• A degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Experience working with data through university, internships or previous employment.
• Exposure to Excel and Power BI (or similar reporting tools), with a willingness to continue developing these skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with a variety of stakeholders.
• A curious mindset, eagerness to learn and a passion for continuous improvement.
