We are seeking a dedicated Contract Officer to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of our fire safety and asbestos work, so that our housing stock remains safe, secure, and fully compliant with statutory and regulatory safety obligations. You will join a forward thinking local authority team and deliver on the supporting management compliance across our portfolio.
• Providing administrative and coordination support across fire safety and asbestos compliance programmes.
• Maintaining accurate records, managing asset data, and monitoring performance and expenditure.
• Tracking and reporting on performance metrics, quality assurance, and compliance testing.
• Managing and recording landlord compliance data and inspection outcomes.
• Acting as a first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Support the Contract Delivery and Quality Manager on fire safety programme responding to the team inbox enquiries
• Close a high volume of FRA actions and meet high set targets
• Manage the administration of programmes, attending meetings and taking accurate minutes, ensuring agendas and relevant items for agendas are prepared in advance and ensure that follow-up action is taken, as required.
• Maintain comprehensive records on the Council’s landlord compliance statutory and regulatory obligations per property, ensuring they are accurate records and held in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Track compliance progress weekly, reporting any slippages or issues immediately, liaising with service providers and stakeholders accordingly to rectify issues arising.
• Administration of and drafting responses together with supporting data for Freedom of Information requests.
• Manage and maintain the key management system and keys contained therein. Issue, record and receive keys to and from various stakeholders on a regular basis. Order new keys as necessary to maintain adequate stocks.
