Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan
Our team is behind key infrastructure projects and we’re looking for a Contract Manager based in Auckland to play a key role in shaping future projects.
About the role
You’ll take ownership of the full contract lifecycle from tender support and contract award through to delivery, variations, and close-out. Working closely with project, commercial and operational leaders, you’ll help shape winning bids, manage contractual risk, and keep financial performance on track.
Core Focus: Safe Delivery | Commercial Discipline | Stakeholder Engagement | Leadership
Lead contract administration across a portfolio of projects, including claims, variations, and payment schedules.
Drive commercial performance by tracking costs, margins, risks and opportunities, and providing clear reporting to project leaders.
Coordinate tender and negotiation processes, ensuring contract terms are understood, documented, and followed.
Partner with project and site teams to resolve issues early, manage disputes, and keep relationships with clients and subcontractors strong.
Support planning and review of project resourcing and staffing, providing development and commercial insight to ensure teams are set up to deliver safely, profitably, and on programme.
Champion compliance with Fulton Hogan processes, legal obligations, and health and safety requirements in all contract activities.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll be in the thick of decision-making, not watching from the sidelines. You’ll be a key voice in making sure we honour our commitments and keep Good Work happening on every job.
We’re looking for someone with
Proven experience in contract management or commercial management in construction, civil infrastructure or a related field.
Strong understanding of contract law and standard construction contract forms (e.g. NZS / NZ3910).
Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships with clients, partners and internal teams.
Solid financial and analytical skills, comfortable working with budgets, forecasts and commercial reports.
