Contract Manager - Mining & Underground Drilling Operations | Contracts | Raise Bore / Drilling | Project Delivery Role Overview An experienced Contract Manager is required to lead mining and underground drilling operations, with accountability for safe project execution, operational performance, financial results, client relationships and workforce leadership. The role suits a hands-on operational leader who can balance production, commercial discipline and SHEQ requirements. Key Responsibilities · Lead day-to-day delivery of drilling / raise-bore contracts and ensure safe, efficient and profitable execution. · Manage project performance against production, cost, schedule, quality and client-service targets. · Control budgets, resources, equipment utilisation and operational planning across assigned contracts. · Lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain workforce performance, discipline and development. · Manage client, contractor, supplier and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery. · Support contract administration, commercial performance and resolution of operational or contractual issues. · Ensure SHEQ, environmental, legal and client requirements are consistently implemented. · Identify performance gaps and implement continuous-improvement initiatives to improve reliability and productivity. Requirements Experience & Requirements · Grade 12 plus a relevant diploma or degree in Mining, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Business Management or related field. · 8-10 years of experience in mining, drilling, construction or heavy industrial operations. · At least 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity. · Experience managing operational budgets, resources, multidisciplinary teams and client relationships. · Strong commercial and contract-management capability. · Valid driver's licence and medical fitness for mining operations; ability to travel and work on operational sites. Advantageous · Raise-boring operational experience. · Project Management and/or FIDIC contract-management training. · Mine Manager's Certificate or related operational mining credential. · Financial Management, Labour Relations or leadership-development training.
