Job Description

The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing all contractual and commercial aspects of the PMO project with the client The role requires a highly experienced Saudi professional capable of reviewing project activities from a contractual perspective, identifying risks and contractual gaps, protecting the company's interests, managing contractual correspondence, supporting claims and dispute resolution processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
The successful candidate will act as the primary contractual advisor to the Project Director and PMO team, providing strategic guidance on contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration & Management

  • Review, interpret, and administer the project contract and all associated contractual documents.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, obligations, and deliverables.
  • Monitor contractual performance and identify potential contractual risks and issues.
  • Advise project management on contractual implications of decisions, variations, and project changes.
  • Maintain proper records of contractual matters, approvals, and correspondence.

Contractual Risk Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive contractual reviews of project activities and deliverables.
  • Identify contractual gaps, risks, exposures, and potential liabilities.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen and protect the company's contractual position.
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Analyze client instructions, notifications, and contract amendments for potential impacts.

Claims & Dispute Management

  • Evaluate events that may give rise to claims, extensions of time, or compensation.
  • Prepare contractual justifications supporting company entitlements.
  • Develop claim strategies and supporting documentation.
  • Assist management during negotiations, dispute avoidance, mediation, or formal dispute resolution processes.
  • Review and respond to client claims and contractual notices.

Contractual Correspondence

  • Draft, review, and issue professional contractual letters, notices, submissions, and official communications.
  • Ensure all correspondence aligns with contract requirements and protects the company's interests.
  • Maintain compliance with notice provisions and contractual timelines.
  • Support project management in preparing executive reports and contractual submissions.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as the contractual focal point between the company and the client.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide contractual advice during discussions.
  • Support negotiations related to contract amendments, variations, and commercial matters.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with client representatives and project stakeholders.

PMO Support

  • Support PMO governance activities from a contractual and compliance perspective.
  • Review project reports and deliverables for contractual consistency.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with client requirements and contractual commitments.
  • Advise management on obligations, deliverables acceptance processes, and contractual milestones.

  • Saudi National.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in contract management and contract administration.
  • Previous experience on PMO, infrastructure, utilities, or government projects.
  • Direct experience with government entities, or major public-sector projects.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi government procurement and contracting environments.
