About the Role

Outlook Australia is looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for sustainability, waste minimisation, and resource management. You will thrive in fast-paced environments where you can inspire teams, make a change and lead with purpose

As our Contract Manager, you will oversee the operations of our waste management and resource recovery services at our site in Mornington. You will be responsible for contract delivery, operational performance, and team development - ensuring safety, excellence, and a supportive culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader to shape outcomes that are good for people, communities, and the planet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business operations: Manage the site operations to meet performance targets, compliance standards, and customer expectations
  • Leading, supervising and supporting: Inspire and guide a diverse team, building a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality, administration and information security Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Develop effective communication strategies with staff and contractual partners.
  • Work health and safety: Ensure all staff and contractors are acting in a safe manner within the workplace. Promoting a safe working culture.
  • Financial and resource management Oversee budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure efficient use of resources and assets.
  • Change management Lead initiatives that drive innovation and smooth adoption of new processes.
  • Stakeholder management Build strong relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders. Lead contract management meetings and audits, ensuring KPI compliance and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
  • Customer Focus Deliver service excellence and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience managing and leading diverse teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • A collaborative, adaptive leadership style that motivates people to achieve results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks, data analysis, reporting, and rostering.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in the retail and/or logistics industries, desirable
  • A background in waste management or related field, desirable

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
