In this role, you'll:

Join our Coordinator General division within our Operations Planning branch. Reporting to the Senior Manager Transport Planning you will develop, refine and implement contract management processes and strategies for Bus, Light Rail or Ferry services within Greater Sydney and actively manage strategic and transactional aspects of contract management to business unit leadership teams.

You will be working with existing alternate multi modal transport contractors and determining when contracts are due to be reviewed and validating payment process for provisions of services in line with contract requirements.

We are looking for someone who takes a proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and is comfortable working with dynamic and complex projects. Paramount will be your ability to influence and negotiate with a strong desire to establish mutually beneficial outcomes and minimise conflict. You understand the importance of taking ownership and accountability, identifying and communicating potential risks and opportunities that can affect the provision of services.

This role is perfect for an established, confident high performing Contract Manager who is looking for the next challenge in working for and delivering alternative transport solutions across NSW.

This is a temporary full-time role until 31/10/2026.

About you

You’re someone who brings enthusiasm and a strong balance of technical expertise and problem-solving skills, and you enjoy working collaboratively within a close-knit team. You’re able to build strong relationships and are comfortable communicating regularly with a broad range of key stakeholders.

You take a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and are confident working across dynamic and complex projects. You’re known for your ability to influence and negotiate, with a strong focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes while minimising conflict. You understand the importance of ownership and accountability and are skilled at identifying, managing and clearly communicating potential risks and opportunities that may impact service delivery.

You will also bring:

Relevant qualifications in procurement, law, commerce, business or economics, or equivalent industry experience in contract management, such as managing service contracts in a commercial environment.
