Job Description

Brief Job Description:

Works as part of the Law Department to protect Vertiv business by ensuring that terms and conditions used in transactions are acceptable and in line with Vertiv’s commercial strategy with particular focus on large accounts in the EMEA region. Working closely with Sales and other key company stakeholders on specific assigned accounts to implement defined processes and commercial pillars. Review and draft agreements, often at frame level related to the EMEA territory relating to the sale of products and services to ensure agreements are clearly defined, documented, and in agreement with Vertiv’s guidelines. Negotiate directly with key customers also in support of sales. Provides legal support for other assigned activities (e.g. legal training and alike).

Main activities

  • Timely review, analysis, drafting, interpretation and negotiation of contracts and other documents with external parties in line with company policies and objectives
  • Provides counsel and advises Company management on legal issues, compliance, and risk management (contracts, claims, litigation, legal changes, trade compliance, and others), and possible impact on Company.
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential legal problems within the organization and mitigates risk to avoid claims and litigation
  • Conducts legal analysis, research, and reviews on a variety of legal issues, national and international laws, and risk evaluation.

Customers

  • Internal: Members of other Corporate Departments, Business Units
  • External: Outside Counsel, Customers, Partners and Suppliers as it Concerns Negotiation

Qualifications: -

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualification / Degree in Law
  • Minimum 8/10 years of experience
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office
  • Travel within the EMEA Region he/she might be requested to travel to meet other internal customers or to negotiate contracts with customers

Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)

Time Travel Needed:

  • 25% travel domestically and internationally as required, with participation in global meetings outside normal working hours.
