Job Description

AWC is hiring a Contract Management Intern for a hybrid shift at our Corporate location in Tacoma WA. We pay weekly and the general pay for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Purpose

The Contracts Management Intern will support the organization by reviewing contracts for compliance and consistency with internal, standard provisions, providing suggested revisions as applicable. In addition this position will track and organize contracts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. This role is well-suited for a recent college graduate preparing to begin law school and provides hands-on exposure to contract management and review in a corporate environment.

This role will have access to sensitive business, financial, and legal information. The Contracts Intern is expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion at all times, in accordance with company policies.

Essential Duties

  • Organize existing contracts in a structured and searchable system by vendor, subject matter, effective date, expiration date, version, and other relevant criteria.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, including version control and status tracking.
  • Review draft contracts and provide written feedback, comments, and suggested edits.
  • Review revised contract drafts to confirm that previously requested feedback and changes have been incorporated.
  • Flag inconsistencies, missing provisions, or potential issues for further review by leadership.
  • Assist with contract-related research and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle all contract materials with strict confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Passed the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and/or has been admitted to an accredited law school in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools to organize, review, and manage documents efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze contract language
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines

Work Environment and Schedule

  • This position follows a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-office presence; the schedule may be adjusted at management's discretion
  • Part-time, flexible hours as needed, not to exceed 29 hours per week
  • Temporary position with duration based on business needs, not to extend beyond August 2026
