Contract Management Advisor – Infrastructure & Waterway Projects
Tilburg, Netherlands (Hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced Contract Management Advisor to support major replacement, renovation, and maintenance projects within critical Dutch waterway infrastructure.
This is a long-term hybrid opportunity based in Tilburg, requiring regular on-site presence while offering flexibility to work partly from home.
The Project
You will support the PPO Replacement & Renovation Tilburg 3 (TB3) project and the Cluster ZN B Operation & Control of Waterway Objects Brabant Canals.
The TB3 programme focuses on the replacement, renovation, and maintenance of Electrical, Industrial Automation, and Mechanical installations across bridges, locks, pumping stations, and water regulation systems in North Brabant and Central Limburg canals. The project also includes the Tilburg control centre and is currently transitioning from design into execution phases.
Your Responsibilities
As Contract Management Advisor, you will work within an Integrated Project Management (IPM) environment and support the contract team during execution phases of technically complex infrastructure contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and advising on contract execution processes
Analysing and processing change requests related to scope, planning, budget, and technical aspects
Drafting amendment agreements including impact, risk, and cost analyses
Coordinating with technical specialists, asset management teams, finance departments, and contractors
Supporting negotiations regarding planning, pricing, and contractual solutions
Managing formal contract changes within GRIP (Relatics) and Hummingbird systems
Applying System-oriented Contract Management (SCB) methodologies
Guiding Systems Engineering review processes (JSTD model)
Assessing contractor deviations and translating them into contract amendments
Advising the Contract Manager on progress, risks, and lessons learned
Contributing to project risk files and performance statements
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:
Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience with infrastructure contracts under UAV-GC
At least 5 years of experience with E&W and/or Industrial Automation projects within infrastructure replacement, renovation, and maintenance
Minimum 3 years of experience with System-oriented Contract Management (SCB)
Experience working within project-based environments and the IPM model
Completed HBO degree in a technical or business-related field
Valid VCA-VOL certification
GPI certificate or willingness to obtain one before project start
Excellent Dutch communication skills, both written and spoken
Preferred Experience
Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
Industrial Automation
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Systems Engineering and the JSTD model
Procurement legislation and amendment processes
ISO-9001
GRIP (Relatics)
