Hair & Makeup Artist (with Studio Support)
Day Rate: $350 | 7:30am – 4:00pm | 1–4 clients per day
Location: Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Verve Intimate is seeking a talented Hair & Makeup Artist to join our boutique boudoir studio in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

As the first touchpoint in our clients’ experience, you play an important role in setting the tone for their photoshoot. Many clients arrive feeling nervous, so your warmth, professionalism, and artistry will help them relax, feel confident, and truly enjoy the experience.

This role combines hair & makeup artistry with light studio admin and client hosting, making you a key part of our seamless, luxury client journey.

The Role

• Day rate: $350
• Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Clients: Typically 1–4 appointments per day
• Location: Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
• Start time: 7:30am daily regardless of the first booking
• Finish: If your final client finishes early and the Studio Manager does not require additional support, you may be able to leave earlier. However, this won’t always be the case, and most days you should expect to remain in the studio until the end of the shift.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure you’re ready before bookings to keep the client experience seamless
• Host clients by greeting them, offering drinks (including cocktails, training provided), handling phone calls when the Studio Manager is absent, making touch-base calls and rebooking, and assisting with client paperwork
• Provide professional hair and makeup styling in studio, with each session lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Focus on naturally enhancing clients’ features rather than dramatic makeup. Hair is always worn down, and soft curls or waves are recommended for all clients; upstyles are not offered
• Help maintain an immaculate studio environment
• Capture a before photo of clients where required

• Is confident creating soft curls, waves, and natural hair finishes that photograph beautifully
• Has a warm, friendly personality and loves working with people
• Is organised and happy to help with admin tasks
• Enjoys working in a team-focused, creative studio environment
• Loves helping women feel confident and celebrated
