Location: Bow Valley Square 2, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Analyst to join our Calgary team. This role ensures contract accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position involves validating trade confirmations, managing contract discrepancies, and optimizing contracting processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to maintain seamless operations and serve as a critical point of communication between internal departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft purchase and sale trading contracts to ensure accuracy and alignment with contractual agreements involving third parties.
  • Validate purchase and sale trading confirmations based on deal recaps and other communications.
  • Identify discrepancies and draft counters with suggested amendments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that complex contracts are effective and mitigate risks for the company.
  • Responsible for routing trading contracts through the approval process.
  • Accountable for contractual communications with external parties (mainly in writing).
  • Maintain data integrity through consistent quality checks and adherence to data management standards for the recordkeeping system for all contract-related documents.
  • Support trading teams and other teams as needed for contract administration-related tasks and research projects.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of documentation, forms, and templates, and related processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience with contract administration or trading in the oil and gas-related industry.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, proofreading, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
