Your role

As a Contract Administrator, you will guide purposeful work that supports the future of our QLD Energy & Industrial (E&I) business. Working within a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll help deliver integrated solutions, provide insightful perspectives, and partner with clients to build a more sustainable future.

What you’ll be doing

Aurecon’s Energy & Industrial team is experiencing strong growth, and we’re looking for a Contract Administrator to play a key role in our expanding portfolio.

This position offers exposure across the full spectrum of project controls disciplines, with opportunities to deepen your technical expertise and broaden your professional capability. You will support key clients and projects by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of project performance data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support negotiation of commercial and contractual matters in collaboration with senior staff.
  • Draft, review, administer and maintain client and subcontractor agreements in line with Aurecon policies and project requirements.
  • Assist with variations, extensions of time, claims, and amendments, ensuring timely assessment and accurate commercial outcomes.
  • Support project managers with change control procedures and contractual risk management.
  • Monitor contractual compliance across projects, identifying and escalating risks or departures from agreed terms.
  • Assist with audits, governance reviews, and internal compliance reporting
  • Track contract deliverables, milestones, KPIs, and reporting obligations.
  • Assist with dispute mitigation through early identification of issues and preparation of contractual correspondence.
  • Support dispute resolution processes where required, including claims documentation.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and document control using Aurecon’s systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contract administration processes and templates.
  • Provide practical contractual advice to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a Contract Administration role within engineering, construction, or energy and industrial sectors
  • Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail
  • A degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • Experience with ProjectWise, InEight and Aconex beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
