We currently have an opportunity for a Contract Administrator - AMAS Join our team and play a key role in ensuring the effective running of the AMAS Operations department by providing a wide range of administrative support functions including Processing Work Orders, Raising Defects, Purchase Order Processing, Contract Documentation Reporting and Filing, Database Management, Preparing Claims and Invoices, Report Writing Reporting to Contract & Compliance Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Services (AMAS) contract with the Auckland Transport. This Contract involves the proactive management and delivery of maintenance services at Auckland City’s central rail facilities.

The AMAS contract will initially commence at Waitematā (Britomart) Train Station and will include the three new City Rail Link (CRL) station facilities upon project completion, namely Te Wai Horotiu (Aotea), Karanga a Hape (Karangahape) and Maungawhau (Mount Eden)

The CRL transformation of the Auckland central city rail network enables additional capacity at Britomart Station with throughput increasing from 20 trains per hour (tph) in a single direction to 24 tph in a two-way direction (48 tph total). The CRL is designed to support the operation of 6-car and 9-car trains and to ultimately allow for an increase in patronage from approximately 8,000 per hour to 54,000 per hour.

The stations and trains will be open and accessible to the public for transport 20 hours per day Sunday to Thursday and 22 hours per day on Friday and Saturday. Non-operational hours will be utilised for cleaning and routine scheduled maintenance activities.

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Contract Administration

  • Computer literate with the ability to use the suite of Microsoft Office products

  • Experience in maintenance contract claims

  • Understanding of local authority contracts is desirable

  • Experience with JD Edwards’s/SAP database is an advantage.

  • Commercial and financial acumen an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, excellent phone manner

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Proactive approach and a sense of urgency

  • Excellent time management skills
