Job Description

Role Accountabilities

Contract Administration & Control

  • Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Track contract deliverables, milestones, obligations, and expiry dates.
  • Ensure contracts are properly executed, stored, and accessible to authorized stakeholders.

Contract Compliance & Monitoring

  • Monitor compliance with contractual terms, including scope, pricing, timelines, and payment conditions.
  • Flag deviations, risks, or non-compliance issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Support enforcement of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Assist in monitoring subcontractor and vendor compliance with contract terms.

Variations, Claims & Change Management

  • Support the preparation, documentation, and tracking of contract variations, change orders, and amendments.
  • Maintain logs for variations, claims, and correspondence.
  • Assist in evaluating commercial impact of changes and supporting claims submissions.
  • Track approvals and implementation of approved variations.

Coordination with Internal Stakeholders

  • Liaise with operations, project, procurement, finance, and legal teams on contract-related matters.
  • Support project teams with contract interpretation and guidance on obligations and entitlements.
  • Assist finance with invoicing, payment certifications, and reconciliation in line with contract terms.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare periodic contract status reports for management review.
  • Maintain correspondence files, contractual notices, and records of communication.
  • Support internal and external audits related to contracts and commercial compliance.
  • Ensure document control standards are adhered to.

Risk, Governance & Compliance

  • Assist in identifying contractual risks and support mitigation actions.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance, approval matrices, and authorization limits.
  • Support compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
  • Promote best practices in contract administration and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as World CC/IACCM, PMP, CIPS, or similar is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in contract administration or commercial support roles.
  • Prior experience in upstream oil & gas or oilfield servicing companies is highly desirable
  • Good understanding of contract administration principles in oil & gas or oilfield services.
  • Familiarity with commercial and contractual terminology and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and document management skills.
  • Ability to track multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and contract management systems.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
