Pay Range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000.

VC Bonus:5%(This represents a good faith estimate for this position. Salary to be determined by geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

We are actively seeking a dedicated and results-driven Continuous Improvement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for planning process, schedules, and implementing continuous improvement activities (like Kaizen events). Trains and educates production and other employees in lean manufacturing principles. Ensure that standard work procedures have been understood and followed and implemented improvements ideas are beingmaintained. This role emphasizes proactive, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to prevent defects and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the workflow and lean manufacturing processes for production department. • Analyze actual production methods using lean manufacturing principles. • Assist with the implementation of improvements together with production staff to meet daily product demand. • Involved with the design, review and implementation of KPIs for the shop floor. • Involved with the implementation and monitoring the benchmarks related to lean manufacturing. • Train and educate employees in all aspects of lean manufacturing related to production. • Provide support to the production staff to ensure that implemented lean principles are understood. • Establish a program to develop and maintain standard operating procedures for existing processes. • Assist Managers in any way needed to ensure that implemented lean principles are being followed.
  • Provide Continuous Improvement Manager, Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement - GDI Manufacturing Division and Division President with information regarding scheduledKaizen events, 5S events, lean manufacturing training, Kaizen event result and KPIs. • Directly manage the Work Instructions and 5S Audit program, including scheduling, execution, follow up actions, and reporting to ensure sustained workplace organization and continuous improvement. • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or manufacturing operations may be considered. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, manufacturing operations, or process improvement required; 4+ years preferred. • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification required; Green Belt certification or training preferred. • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Must have exceptional communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to manage and lead multiple projects. • Ability to create, read and interpret documents such as operating, safety and maintenance work instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. • Critical, strategic and analytical thinker with a quantitative and fact-based mindset and always leading by example • Ability to turn data into meaningful information and present it in a concise, professional manner for senior management review. • Experience leading teams is a plus. • Have a positive, "can-do" attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. • Must operate with a sense of urgency and have attention to detail. • Must be able to interact effectively across multiple functions, geographies, and levels within the company • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Primarily day shift position but must be able to work on any shift as required. • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, highly motivated, and organized. • Demonstrated commitment to participatory approaches and joint problem solving; ability to adapt to all levels within the organization.
