About the role

Leading the deployment of the Lean Transformation using Company Operating System & Strategy. Manage and execute implementation, monitoring and improvement of CI programs in Haina.
The scope of the role: Perform operating mechanism assessments, propose proper adjustments to achieve an effective implementation of Lean and Six Sigma. This position will be responsible to lead and execute continuous improvement initiative across the site and coach continuous improvement practitioners on the operation and the associated culture change. This will require the ability to educate and motivate individuals at different levels of the organization and the ability to manage transformations to a successful and timely conclusion.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Manage, monitor programs and strategies of CI, through tier systems (manufacturing and non manufacturing areas).

• Develop people on Problem Solving methods, through providing training, modelling, mentoring, and coaching.

• Through hands-on immersion and learning at the Gemba, continuously drive the development/ deepening of the Operating System in the pursuit of everybody everyday improvement

• Evaluate current processes, determine their effectiveness, identify opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement

• Lead process improvement projects to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results using lean and six sigma methodologies.

• Execute problem solving activities to close gaps of KPIs and objectives.

• Lead projects of stabilization, improvement, and transformation, using CI tools and techniques (DMAIC, VSM, Continuous Flow, Std Work, 5s, SMED, Error proofing, TPM, Pull system).

• Develop material training and connect global CI programs with Haina needs.

• Accountable for monitoring and reporting on the KPI’s for CI HAINA Teams.

• Collaborate and support the Global CI Teams on the local deployment of corporate initiatives for the HAINA site.

• Perform LOSS-IDEATION events, and cost and benefit analyses

• Participate in implementing best practice tools and techniques in project management & CI pillars

• Manage changing priorities on projects through effective schedule management and deployment of PM methodologies

Operate as role model by striving for continuous improvement and being an agent of change

• Assists the Staff of the plant with the Strategic planning process.

• Benchmarks best practices and evaluates the feasibility of implementing in the DR plants.

• Develop and maintain prioritized continuous improvement project list (annual deployment plan) for the site.

Develop an improve layout of the plants, including the Warehouse to improve flow, reduce. picking time and improve visual management.

• Support Standard Work creation for every position in the plant

Skills & Experience

Deep knowledge and understanding of the Lean and Toyota Production System principles.

Strong experience in Operations and Six Sigma

Solid past performance as a project manager with results

Ability to see beyond the presenting issue through clear, concise, structured thinking

Ability to support multiple projects and balance priorities

Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes

Strong coaching, facilitation, and organizational skills

Excellent oral / written communication and platform skills

Passion and humility for learning, teaching, coaching and supporting/helping others achieve their top potential

Advanced skills in MS Office, Power BI and Desirable advanced statistical software packages (Minitab etc.)

Knowledge and experience in Continuous Improvement programs and culture. Experience leading and developing people

Strategic and Broad Perspective: Able to see specific issues vs systemic issues; connect the individual with a system.

Advanced OFFICE and SAP knowledge.

Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s Degree on Industrial Engineering or similar.

5+ years’ experience leading lean systems thinking and improvement

Green Belt Certification as a must; Black Belt Certification desirable.

Fluent English level
