For our Continuous Improvement team, we are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager Global Operations Network (GONet) (m/f/d) with the following responsibilities:

What you’ll do:

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and deploying the business ECIS (Eaton Continuous Improvement System) initiatives within the 4 sites of GO Net operation. Leading EBS Strategy Deployment, OpA self-assessment, Cost-out programs, leading and facilitating ELSS projects and deploying ECIS through systematic activities. The function will support development of sites ECIS knowledge, coach and grow site talent on Continuous Improvement.

Provide leadership to ensure achievement of plant objectives across all sites, such as:

  • Develop GO Net (Global Operations Network) operation ECIS strategy and roadmap accordance with PMCC (Power Management & Control Components) business continuous improvement targets.
  • Support the site OpA and lead ECIS assessments and calibrate OFAs. Ensure key action on time implementation.
  • Improve sites Hi5 metrics through systematic process improvement activity by executing RIE/BPI/Six Sigma project plan. Lead, facilitate, coach and support EBS Pull projects, RIE events, Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects, including non-Cost-out CI projects.
  • Run IDB events to build cost-out project pipeline and deliver the plant labor productivity/cost-out targets. Ensure CAPEX availability. Support R&D, Procurement, Logistics functions to define and implement cost-out projects.
  • Improve the entire organization CI engagement by involving leaders and functions in process improvements and operating effective Idea Management program.
  • Benchmark operations and transfer best practices (including I4.0) within the sites and standardize activity to ensure sustainability.
  • Lead the EMEA level CI standard processes deep implementation and effective operations (5S, Standardized Work, VSM, Daily accountability, Gemba walk, etc.). Implement plant critical ELSS push tools. Initiate operating principles that focus on process standardization, visual factory, flow focus, accountability of tier meetings, etc.
  • Build culture and focus on systematic waste elimination to improve sites OEE.
  • Ensure CI resource availability and capability to drive effective improvement process.
  • Mentor and support candidates of Lean/Six Sigma Certification programs throughout the certification process.
  • Prepare and conduct ECIS related training and develop on-site ECIS knowledge, talent and competency to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent in Engineering or science field.
  • > 5 years of relevant job experience in process improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodology

Skills:

  • Very good German and good English language fluency is required
  • Expert knowledge of Lean production system and Six Sigma and deliver successful projects in an operational environment
  • Subject matter expert in specified manufacturing process such as Metal Stamping, Plastics injection, system assembly and electronics/electrical manufacturing process will be a plus
  • Multiple years of experience as a leader of people.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Strong experience in operations
  • Experience with change management (leading & executing).
  • Understanding of I4.0 principals
  • Experience of Business Processes improvement in facilitating projects for HR, Finance, SCM and other non-manufacturing functions is preferred"
  • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional process improvement teams; good leading and motivation skills to drive team success
  • Good communication, negotiation, conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical- and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Change Management skills and experience
