Job Description

Plans and directs major projects of a complex nature for continues improvement. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles, Statistics, Quality Tools and best practices in broad areas of assignments. Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of the work in a part of a major project or in a total project.

Essential duties:

  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis requires evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, statistics, Quality Tools and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results.
  • Drive Kinshitsu projects to improve Quality offenders such as complaint reduction, process improvements.
  • Provides significant input into technical strategy, acting as a broader support to other areas.
  • Anticipates problems, process variations, detectability, and generates technically advanced alternatives and implements innovative solutions for complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Deliver A3 and DMAIC training for Problem Solving execution timeless and its effectiveness, CAPA Quality and issues recurrency.
  • Understands the impact process change in one area will have on other areas and manages the impact of changes.
  • Identifies risks and understands how to approach and complete multiple tasks/projects, avoiding major delays in schedules and product introduction, major impact emerging issues or eventual loss of business.
  • Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
  • Writes White papers and/or technical procedures/Reports on various processes that impact multiple disciplines and provides a compliance framework.
  • Champions and sponsors own ideas of others within and across products, functions, and businesses, and significantly influences team direction and incorporation of innovative member ideas.
  • Engages actively with, inspires, and drives the effectiveness of teams that integrate multiple functions/disciplines and have broad business impact.
  • Develop Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles/culture as part of the Opex Site initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in statistics preferred.

Licenses or certifications:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience.
  • Five years of GMP Quality Manufacturing experience required.
