ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary

As a Strategic Marketing Lead, you will be a key member of the Brenntag North America Beauty & Personal Care team, reporting to the Strategic Marketing & Business Development Manager.

This role is responsible for developing and driving Brenntag’s content and marketing strategy across North America, ensuring alignment with business priorities and growth objectives. The Strategic Marketing Lead will oversee the creation and execution of integrated, multi-channel campaigns, with a strong focus on thought leadership, digital engagement, and customer-centric storytelling.

Executing against the Americas growth agenda, this role will leverage data-driven insights, market trends, and best-in-class marketing technologies to identify opportunities, attract new customers, and strengthen brand positioning. The Strategic Marketing Lead will play a critical role in driving customer acquisition, enhancing engagement, and expanding market share through high-impact, strategically aligned content initiatives.

Job rESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy & Development

• Own and drive the overall content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and commercial priorities
• Develop and execute high-impact content across multiple channels, including:
• Email marketing campaigns
• Social media platforms
• Webinars and digital events
• Campaign landing pages
• Collaborate closely with supplier partners to co-create relevant, value-driven content that supports product positioning and innovation storytelling
• Lead the development of sales enablement tools, including brochures, sell sheets, and presentation materials
• Identify and curate forward-looking concepts and ideas to support innovation pipelines and marketing initiatives

Marketing Planning & Calendar Management

• Own and manage a rolling marketing calendar, ensuring consistent and strategic campaign execution
• Develop and maintain an integrated editorial calendar aligned with:
• Key industry events
• Product launches
• Supplier partner priorities
• Ensure all content initiatives are timely, cohesive, and aligned across channels and regions

Thought Leadership & Insights

• Create and deliver trend presentations to support internal teams, customers, and supplier partners
• Translate market trends and insights into actionable content and campaign concepts
• Position the organization as a thought leader within the industry through strategic storytelling and content development

Performance Measurement & Optimization

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness, including:
• Campaign performance (engagement, conversion, ROI)
• Social media analytics
• Lead generation and contribution to pipeline
• Monitor and analyze customer voice (VOC) and sample requests to inform content strategy and product positioning
• Provide monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for optimization

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with sales, technical, and supplier teams to ensure content supports commercial goals and customer needs
• Align content and campaigns with broader business strategies to maximize impact and ROI
• All other duties as assigned by management

Ideal PROFILE

eDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of experience with marketing, especially digital marketing including email, social media and content creation, preferably in the chemical industry

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or similar and MBA a plus

Bilingual – English, French, Spanish, Portuguese a valid plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking, organizational ability and attention to detail

Demonstrated problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Good understanding of online marketing and major marketing channels

Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Basic knowledge of social media platforms, website management, etc.

Experience specifically with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Pardot is preferred

This role is Hybrid

National travel will be less than 30%
