
The Content Strategy & Editorial Manager plays a central role in shaping the presence of Hobart and William Smith, primarily on the website but also in other publications, both digital and printed. This position manages website content, ensuring accuracy, clarity and brand consistency; produces high-quality written content for the website, newsletters and other publications as assigned; and contributes to graphic design needs across print and digital platforms. The role is ideal for a versatile communicator with strong editorial judgment, a clean writing style, competency working within a CMS, and an eye for compelling visual presentation. This opportunity is well-suited to a creative problem-solver with the confidence to suggest improvements and new ideas, and the knowledge to make them happen.

Our location in the heart of the Finger Lakes allows faculty, staff and students to live and work collaboratively on the banks of a resource-rich lake. Student-athletes play for 30 varsity teams boasting 24 national titles, including the 2023 and 2024 NCAA DIII Men’s Ice Hockey Championships. With three graduate programs, students can build on their undergraduate degree with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership, Master of Arts in Teaching, or a Master of Science in Management. Other Information:
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position. Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required for event coverage or time-sensitive updates. Hybrid work options may be available. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the academic year, with a possible shortened workweek during the scheduled summer hours’ time period. Salary $70,000
