We are hiring a Content Specialist
to join our Digital Content Team in Tartu, Estonia.
Main purpose of the job:
The main purpose of this role is to update, manage and publish user-friendly content across Finnair’s digital platforms, ensuring it is accurately implemented, correctly formatted and properly localised. The job includes working closely with content writers and key stakeholders and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams in Tartu and Vantaa. Content Specialist contributes to Finnair’s Digital Sales objectives by ensuring content is delivered accurately and on time, always keeping a smooth customer experience at heart.
Main responsibilities
Update, manage and publish content assets such as images, banners and articles to Finnair’s digital touchpoints in line with Finnair’s brand guidelines
Keep Finnair websites content up to date according to stakeholders' needs
Use several Content Management Systems (CMS) hands-on to edit, format, schedule and publish content with precision and speed
Comfortably manage structured content modules, metadata, tagging, and page layouts.
Test features like offers, pricing setups, links or localised content variants, and new functionalities according to testing guidelines
Proofread content and make sure digital solutions work as they should from a visual, usability, performance and functional point of view
Take responsibility for finding and logging errors in Finnair websites
Communicate and work with stakeholders and developers to resolve issues or errors
Proactively document and keep guidelines up to date
Support team members and other colleagues who need help with content production topics
Possible ad hock task relating to content production
Tools
Content management systems: CoreMedia, Primeo, Amadeus SSCI, Akamai, AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
Design tools such as Photoshop
Project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack.
Processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams that include content, marketing, digital sales, analysts, designers, developers and business managers
Coordinate translations in CoreMedia and, when needed, with our translation agency.
Key competencies & Experience
Excellent sense for what works visually and structurally on a web page
Strong self-leadership skills – ability to juggle multiple content updates, tests and releases across different markets
A basic understanding of tone of voice and branding
Technical and data-driven mindset, strong attention to detail, systematic approach, ability to work independently
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines in a hectic environment
Good communication skills, being able to explain content-related issues or CMS limitations clearly
Interest in working for a global digital store with millions of monthly users
Fluent in spoken and written English
Ability to work with remote teams and travel between Tartu and Helsinki.
Required education and skills for the position
Studies in communication, translation, arts of other relevant fields
Previous experience in web content management from work, school or as hobbies
Interest or previous knowledge in Content Management Systems
Previous experience in using design tools such as Sketch or Photoshop.
Seen as an advantage
Previous experience or studies in testing or quality assurance in content operations
Experience in working with digital services, marketing or ecommerce
Knowledge of web analytics tools
Testing experience.
