Content Operations Manager – the role can be based in any capital city

About us:

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is one of the largest sports media content and entertainment businesses, with the unique capability to deliver brand stories to national audiences across Australia. This is achieved via multiple platforms including radio, print, television, digital, in-stadium, activations, events and team ownership. SEN is a dynamic sport led business on an exciting growth journey and we’re looking for match fit talent to join our passionate team.

Why work with us?

We’re an energetic, fast paced business. You’ll join a close team who are all about enabling one another to succeed. The opportunities for connection and growth span nationally across Australia.

About the role and you:

SEN is looking for a Content Operations Manager.

You’ll lead a team responsible for creating and checking radio logs across all SEN Stations (SEN, SENTrack, RSN, SENTurf and SENSpirit).

Plus, you’ll be part of the team with an allocation of stations to schedule daily.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience scheduling stations using GSelector;
  • Experience leading a team;
  • Passion! You need to care about all our stations – the detail in scheduling – and the art of crafting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Content Operations Team, encouraging an environment of accurate scheduling and minimal on-air faults;
  • Build, maintain and expand SEN’s GSelector network using its extensive Parent/Child architecture, enabling rapid changes across stations;
  • Create new stations and categories in GSelector for shows and sporting events;
  • Build GSelector clocks for shows and sporting events across multiple stations, accounting for each station’s scheduling differences;
  • Schedule a number of station logs each day and ensure each station has the correct clocks, content, imaging, promos and IDs;
  • Craft stations to reflect the Content Strategy;
  • Set up new shows with Content Leads and reschedule programming when plans change, such as a sporting event ending after two days instead of five!;
  • Manage the team’s recruitment, onboarding, training, rosters, leave cover, performance reviews, feedback and morale;
  • Complete and lodge CRA reporting, and assist Traffic with gambling compliance;
  • Work with Content, Traffic, Sponsorships to co-ordinate schedules, ensure client delivering of credits, resolve issues and improve processes;
  • Work with Technical Services and Engineering on training, fault reporting, equipment changes and software upgrades that impact the team;
  • Co-ordinate with system suppliers, including RCS, and communicate fault causes and fixes to users; and
  • Manage the current AI tools (and create more) that assist with accurate task deployment.

You’ll also need to have great communication skills, attention to detail, work at a fast pace and the ability to work in a team environment (in market and remotely).

Sports Entertainment Network is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals and encourages applications from a diverse range of candidates, including people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
