Clay is a global design agency building world-class digital products and brands. We are a globally distributed team with members working from different parts of the world. Our clients include Slack, Google, Snapchat, Amazon, Coinbase, and many innovative startups.

We are looking for a Content Marketing Specialist with SEO Background to support the growth of Clay’s online presence. In this role, you will work across content creation, blog management, SEO initiatives, and social media promotion to help expand the reach and performance of our content.

You will collaborate closely with the SEO and Marketing teams, assisting with blog development, SEO link-building efforts, and content updates across multiple websites.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage content and promotion for the Clay blog, including publishing new articles, updating and improving existing content, and promoting posts on social media.
• Support SEO tasks: work with keywords, sourcing and purchasing backlinks, and identifying new websites for link-building opportunities.
• Content creation with SEO focus: creating content for websites, updating and improving this content, and supporting the blog.
• Maintain and update backlink databases, monitor performance, and assist with SEO campaigns.
• Work with press releases: support preparation and publication to promote Clay’s initiatives.
• Assist with website content management through CMS platforms, ensuring content is up-to-date and aligned with overall strategy.

Requirements

You will be a great fit if you:

• Have English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Have experience working with content creation, editing, or blog management
• Have an understanding of SEO principles and tools
• Uses AI tools to support content and marketing workflows
• Are familiar with CMS platforms, or are willing to learn
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of link-building or backlink research
• Experience with social media content planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Publer)
