Eye care isn’t just about seeing better. It’s about helping people make informed decisions about their vision and eye health.

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist who is a strong writer and editor with excellent attention to detail. You’ll create and refine clear, helpful patient-facing content across social media, web, email, print, and patient education.

You’ll use AI tools like ChatGPT and Jasper to support content creation, then apply your editorial judgment to ensure every piece is accurate, human, on-brand, and contributes to the intended business objectives for that piece. You’ll also support the day-to-day management of our enterprise social media channels. Strong writing and editing skills matter most. AI experience is helpful, but not required if you’re a strong communicator.

This is a long term contract role.

Content Creation & Editing

• Create and edit patient-facing content across social media, websites, email, print, patient education, and marketing campaigns using AI-assisted workflows.
• Review and refine AI-generated drafts for clarity, accuracy, readability, brand voice, compliance, a natural, human tone, and contribution to outcomes intended for that piece.
• Translate complex medical or clinical information into clear, approachable patient-focused language that patients and caregivers can understand.
• Proofread content and maintain consistency in voice, terminology, messaging, and style across brands and channels.
• Apply established editorial standards, brand guidelines, and content requirements to all patient-facing content.
• Use tools such as ChatGPT and Jasper to develop and refine prompts, templates, and workflows that improve content quality and efficiency.
• Share useful prompts and learnings with the team and contribute feedback to help improve our AI tools and Brand Brain over time.

Social Media Management

• Execute day-to-day social media management across enterprise channels, including scheduling and publishing approved content via social media management tools.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date social profiles and support account cleanup, platform migrations, and other administrative needs.
• Review basic engagement and performance metrics and share relevant observations with the team.

Align with the company strategy related to link and tracking management, UTM parameters, call tracking, and other methods to ensure we can measure business value.

Collaboration & Execution

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and marketing teams to support content needs.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Incorporate feedback and follow established review and approval processes.
• Support day-to-day content needs and keep projects moving.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
• 2+ years of experience in writing, editing, content marketing, social media, or a related field.
• Experience creating and managing content across digital and social channels.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Jasper, or eager to learn.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and comfortable working within established brand guidelines and processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, another regulated industry, or an agency environment.
• Journalism, editorial, or copy editing experience.
• Familiarity with social media publishing platforms such as Hootsuite, Hubspot, Sprout Social, or comparable tools
• Familiarity with web content management systems and/or SEO/AEO/GEO.
• Experience using AI tools in a professional content workflow.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days

Within your first 90 days, you’ll:

• Learn AEG Vision’s brand voice, content standards, and AI workflows.
• Independently create and edit high-quality, patient-facing content across channels.
• Help organize and maintain enterprise social media accounts and publishing.
• Become a reliable resource for day-to-day content and editing needs.

About the Team

You’ll join AEG Vision’s Enterprise Marketing team, supporting patient-centered content across one of the nation’s largest networks of locally branded eye care practices.

You’ll work alongside marketers, designers, project managers, field marketing teams, and brand leaders to help turn ideas and information into clear, useful content for patients.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making content better. You’ll have the opportunity to strengthen your editorial skills, gain experience with healthcare marketing and social media, and learn how AI-assisted workflows can help a modern marketing team create high-quality content at scale.
