We are seeking a highly experienced Content Team Lead / Director to lead content strategy, brand storytelling, and integrated communication initiatives for global and domestic brands in the Korean market.

This role goes beyond channel management and content production. The successful candidate will own the strategic direction of content and brand communication, leading the development of culturally relevant and insight-driven campaigns across Korea’s key digital ecosystems including Kakao, Naver, and major social media platforms.

Working closely with global brand teams and cross-functional specialists, this role will shape how brands engage with Korean audiences through content, influencer collaborations, and integrated brand campaigns.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of strategic thinking, creative leadership, client advisory capability, and data-driven decision making, with a proven track record of building impactful brand narratives and high-performing content programs.

Responsibilities

Content & Brand Strategy Leadership

  • Lead the strategic development of content marketing and brand storytelling frameworks for global brands in the Korean market
  • Translate global brand positioning into locally relevant content strategies and communication programs
  • Drive the planning and execution of integrated branding and communication campaigns, leveraging content, social media, and influencer ecosystems
  • Ensure all brand communications maintain strong narrative consistency, cultural relevance, and strategic alignment with business objectives

Digital Channel & Content Ecosystem Management

  • Oversee the strategic operation and optimization of brand-owned digital channels, including KakaoTalk Channel, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
  • Lead editorial planning and content development across Naver Blog, Brunch, and other long-form content platforms
  • Establish scalable content frameworks and editorial calendars to support ongoing brand engagement and campaign initiatives
  • Continuously refining content strategy through performance insights, platform evolution, and audience behavior analysis

Influencer & Creator Partnership Strategy

  • Develop and lead influencer and KOL engagement strategies to amplify brand narratives and campaign impact
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with creators and opinion leaders aligned with brand positioning
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign execution including planning, partnership management, performance evaluation, and optimization

Insight & Data-Driven Content Development

  • Lead data-driven content planning based on audience insights, cultural trends, and platform analytics
  • Establish content performance KPIs and develop structured reporting frameworks
  • Translate performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for ongoing optimization

Client Advisory & Strategic Communication

  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients on content marketing, social media strategy, and brand communication in Korea
  • Develop and present strategic proposals, campaign concepts, and performance reports
  • Communicate complex insights and strategic recommendations clearly to both internal teams and client stakeholders

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the content team, ensuring high standards of strategic thinking, creativity, and execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Creative, Media, Performance Marketing, PR, and Data Analytics
  • Drive alignment between content initiatives and broader marketing strategies across regional and global teams

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in digital content strategy, social media marketing, or brand content development
  • Proven experience leading content programs or communication initiatives for global brands
  • Deep understanding of the Korean digital ecosystem, including Kakao, Naver, and major social platforms
  • Extensive experience planning and executing influencer/KOL campaigns
  • Strong ability to develop strategic content frameworks and integrated brand campaigns
  • Demonstrated expertise in data-driven marketing and content performance analysis
  • Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent presentation, proposal development, and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to lead complex projects involving multiple internal teams and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading content marketing or brand communication initiatives for global consumer, lifestyle, or luxury brands
  • Strong storytelling capability and experience in branded editorial and narrative-driven content
  • Understanding of cross-channel digital marketing, including SEO, performance marketing, and CRM
  • Experience of collaborating with regional or global marketing teams
  • Familiarity with analytics and marketing intelligence platforms (Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker, social listening tools)
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring content teams
  • Fluency in English or Japanese is preferred.
