
NZME has an opportunity to join New Zealand’s most successful talk radio team to lead, innovate and drive our rural and sport strategy, along with supporting our local Hokonui and Radio Wanaka shows.
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for sport, an understanding of what makes rural New Zealand tick, and make it sound great.
You need to have an understanding of local and international rural and sport issues and know what makes great radio content. You’ll also help develop our rural and sport strategy and lead our programme teams to deliver it.
Reporting to the Head of Talk you will:
Develop and implement the rural and sport radio strategy across Newstalk ZB, Newstalk ZB Sport, and Hokonui.
Work with our daily rural and sport shows on editorial content as well as entertaining execution.
Through the development of excellent contacts, source exclusive content and partnerships.
Plan our major sporting events coverage and commentary, e.g. Rugby, Olympics, etc.
Develop new opportunities for rural and sport content on iHeartRadio and other NZME platforms.
