Content Developer – Training & Operations

POSITION REPORTS TO: SVP – Restaurant Operations

POSITION LOCATION: Bob Evans Restaurant Support Center - New Albany, Ohio

Statement of Purpose:

The Content Developer is responsible for writing and developing material for Bob Evans Restaurants. This position will primarily focus on developing written, digital, and video content for training and operations initiatives. Other responsibilities include maintaining internal LMS site content for the organization while following brand guidelines and the priorities of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver unique content in the forms of digital, video and written to engage our team members.
• Is responsible for direct creation of assets including photography, video and digital.
• Leverages multiple learning development techniques to ensure that information is engaging and educates the internal user resulting in a direct, positive impact on the guest experience.
• Is responsible for content life cycles – version control, revision cycles, etc.
• Maintains internal LMS site for the brand, keeping content fresh and relevant.
• Works with the LMS provider to troubleshoot as needed and ensure end users have reporting visibility needed.
• Is responsible for creating frequent content for use across multiple platforms including but not limited to the LMS system.
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of training, leadership development, and restaurant operations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
• Highly proficient with the development of video/social based learning including photography.
• Excellent organization skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively communicate collaboratively between departments at all levels of the organization.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience developing custom learning solutions for diverse target audiences, including eLearning, video, and print resources, required
• Expertise with Adobe suite (i.e. InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, Acrobat DC)
• Expertise with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
• Expertise with Microsoft 365 suite (i.e. Word, Photoshop, Excel)
• Advanced technical writing skills and general business communication skills (PowerPoint)

Travel & Work Schedule:

• This position may require up to 10% overnight travel.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred – training, information technology, marketing, communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job
• Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as a Content Developer or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, photography, video production, and engage.
