Is it time you unlocked your potential?
Student Loans Company is a non-profit making Government-owned organisation to provide loans and grants to students in universities and colleges in the UK. Since 1989, we have enabled our customers to invest in their futures by delivering secure, accurate and efficient assessment, payment and repayment services.
Culture is at the heart of everything we do at SLC and we are guided by our five values which help make SLC a great place to work:
These values are more than words—they guide our decisions, shape our collaborations, and strengthen our impact on the students we serve.
As Content & Channels Lead, you'll manage a small team responsible for SLC's corporate content, digital publishing and creative services, ensuring colleagues and customers can access clear, accurate and trusted information across our key digital channels.
You'll lead the planning, governance and continuous improvement of content across SLC's intranet, GOV.UK presence and colleague communication channels, while overseeing our Multimedia Designer and Filmmaker to ensure visual, video and written content work together to support organisational priorities.
Working across internal and external digital channels, you'll develop content strategies, publishing standards and governance frameworks that improve user experience, strengthen consistency and ensure content remains accessible, accurate and effective.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Alongside managing the team, you'll write, edit and publish content, provide expert advice to stakeholders, and use analytics, user feedback and insight to continually improve channel performance and audience engagement.
You'll champion accessibility, content governance and publishing best practice, helping colleagues create content that is user-focused, compliant and aligned to organisational standards.
We're looking for someone with strong content management, digital publishing and stakeholder engagement experience. You'll have a track record of improving content and channels, developing publishing standards and governance approaches, and translating complex information into clear, accessible and engaging content. Experience of intranet management, GOV.UK publishing, internal communications, accessibility standards and overseeing creative or multimedia delivery would be advantageous.
You can expect more from a career with SLC. We support colleagues to unlock their potential through our Career Pathways development programme and offer an excellent benefit and rewards package that includes:
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some background checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include employment history, criminal record check, credit reference check and fraud check.
