Job Description

We are working closely with a local authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Contact Support Worker,on a 3- months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £13.40- £17.49 per hour



The Contact Support Worker is responsible for facilitating formal contact between children and young people aged 0–17 and their parents, carers and families. The role involves arranging, supervising and recording contact sessions in accordance with agreed care and contact arrangements, ensuring that children's safety, welfare and emotional needs remain central throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Organise contact arrangements and associated transport requirements.
  • Coordinate practical arrangements to ensure contact sessions take place safely and effectively.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries during contact.
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are brought promptly to the attention of the appropriate Social Worker or Team Manager.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for children, families, colleagues and service users.
  • Act as a positive role model in relation to appropriate parenting and communication.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE passes at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • QCF Level 3 in Social Care or Child Care, previously NVQ Level 3, or an equivalent qualification.

Essentials:

  • Minimum of one year's experience working with children and/or young people.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a professional or care setting.
  • Experience of communicating effectively with children, young people, parents and carers.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
