Telephone Consultant

Onsite | San Diego, CA

Compensation: TC I: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, plus incentives. TC II: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, plus incentives. TC III: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, plus incentives

Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone in our Contact Center team for someone who knows consumer lending, enjoys connecting with members, and loves finding the right financial solutions to help people reach their goals. • It’s all about service! Be the friendly, confident first point of contact for our members, taking ownership of each call, answering questions, processing transactions, and making sure they feel taken care of.
• A problem-solving pro! Someone who loves finding answers and getting things done. You’ll help members with everyday transactions like deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, official checks, certificates, and more.
• Not afraid to take it all on! Become skilled in multiple call queues, from Account Information to Loan Inquiry, Card Information, Technical Assistance, and more. The more you know, the more members you can help!
• Relationships matter! Listen for what our members really need and connect them with products and services that make sense for them. It’s not just about the transaction, it’s about building trust and lasting relationships.
• Goals motivate you! Thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment where member experience, quality, efficiency, and schedule adherence matter. You’ll also jump into team meetings, sales programs, contests, and department initiatives while keeping security and compliance top of mind.
• This is a great opportunity to really have an impact on an organization and in an established Network Services Team for a well-respected, established credit union in San Diego County known for its community and member centered focus.

Here is what we are looking for:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Telephone Consultant I: A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
• Telephone Consultant II: A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• Telephone Consultant III: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, solve problems, and create a great member experience.
• Someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment and can balance member needs with individual and team performance goals.
• Call center experience is preferred, especially experience within a financial institution or similar industry.
