Job Description

Job ID 23556 - Contact Center Specialist

Location: Fully remote – Must live in state of OR

Pay: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour

Type: Contract, until November 2026

Schedule: Will be assigned between M-F, 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM PST, Sat 9:15 AM to 2:00 PM PST
Must be open department hours, rotating shifts every (3) weeks


Training: Expect to be on the phones as soon as week two!
(4) weeks of training to be expected

Start date: 8/10/2026

  1. Manage Inbound Call Volume: Handle approximately 60+ member calls per day; call volume may vary depending on complexity and duration of technical or service-related support calls.
  2. Deliver High-Quality Member Support: Establish professional, service-oriented relationships with members over the phone, assisting with a variety of financial needs in alignment with the credit union’s mission and values.
  3. Process Member Transactions: Accurately handle daily financial transactions including withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and wire requests, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and security procedures.
  4. Provide Credit Card Support: Assist members with online banking access, login issues, account setup, and troubleshooting, often resulting in longer call handling times due to the technical nature of inquiries.
  5. Promote Credit Union Products: Actively identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services, contributing to referral goals and supporting ongoing sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Financial background
  • Retail banking


Requirements:

  • Must have a call center background
  • Must have an ethernet connection
  • Must complete a speed test: 75 mbps DL | 10 mbps UL
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background check required
  • Employment verification required: Prepare to provide proof of employment for last (2) employers

Note: Must store and keep boxes for equipment until end of assignment for equipment return.
