The Consumer Safety Manager serves as the regional Pharmacovigilance (PV) point of contact for multiple markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day vigilance activities for Haleon marketed products and products under development, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and global safety requirements. The position also supports interactions with health authorities, external partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain effective safety processes across the assigned region.
Manage day-to-day vigilance activities for Haleon marketed products and products in clinical development across assigned countries.
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global pharmacovigilance, cosmetovigilance, materiovigilance, and nutrivigilance requirements.
Monitor local vigilance regulations and implement regulatory updates where required.
Perform Quality Control activities, including in-stream checks and Management Monitoring, in line with global standards and local procedures.
Deliver Pharmacovigilance training to local departments and relevant third-party partners.
Ensure English translations of required safety documentation, including safety cases received from central safety functions.
Negotiate Safety Data Exchange Agreements (SDEAs) for local licensing partnerships in collaboration with Legal and Regulatory Affairs.
Support and coordinate third-party pharmacovigilance due diligence activities for new business agreements.
Provide guidance on Human Safety Information and Adverse Event clauses for non-SDEA contracts.
Support local commercial initiatives and clinical development programs from a safety perspective.
Ensure compliance with Human Safety Information reporting requirements for Digital, Market Research, and Patient Support Program providers.
Maintain up-to-date local product lists and contact lists for assigned countries.
Support local literature search activities, where required.
Manage DHCPL and DIL submissions to local Health Authorities.
Maintain the local Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF).
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
2+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and clinical safety procedures, systems, and guidelines.
Understanding of global regulatory requirements related to pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
Knowledge of regulatory and pharmacovigilance regulations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience working with contractual documentation, including drafting and reviewing pharmacovigilance agreements.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
Experience supporting pharmacovigilance audits at a local and/or global level would be an advantage.
Experience within EAEU markets would be beneficial.
