To ensure that the consumer banking activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and to help the bank manage legal and regulatory risks associated with these activities.

Join us as a Consumer Products and Propositions Lawyer (AVP) in the Non‑Lending Consumer Products & Propositions team at Barclays UK Legal. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of product innovation, supporting a broad portfolio including Current Accounts, Savings, Insurance, Premier and Private Banking. You’ll play a key role in helping the business deliver great customer outcomes — combining smart, commercial thinking with strong legal and regulatory judgement. Working as part of a collaborative and forward‑thinking team, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business to shape propositions, and ensure legal and regulatory risks are well understood and effectively managed.
To be successful as a Consumer Products and Propositions Lawyer (AVP), you should have experience with
Qualified lawyer with financial services regulatory experience; in-house experience is welcome but not essential
Confident working with the business to support product development, innovation and ongoing proposition management
Ability to spot, assess and clearly explain legal and regulatory risks, including emerging issues, in a practical and commercial way
