
What's the role?
An exciting opportunity has become available in our Consumer division for a Pricing Manager. In this role, you will be an integral part of the dynamic, highly motivated team that supports the delivery of pricing initiatives across News Corp Australia, spanning Consumer, B2B and Tech Platform Partnerships.
Responsibilities
Drive commercial growth and consumer value by defining and optimising pricing strategies for both existing products and new propositions.
Lead the development of B2B commercial rate cards and tech platform pricing to ensure sustainable revenue through direct and partner channels.
Utilise customer research, competitive intelligence, and data analytics to provide actionable pricing recommendations and business case inputs.
Model price elasticity for cover prices and subscriptions to optimise price points and evaluate the effectiveness of tactical promotional initiatives.
Proactively manage and optimise all live price books, ensuring quality control, compliance with governance, and mitigation of pricing exceptions.
Collaborate with acquisition teams to test pricing hypotheses and align specific price points to audience segments through a rigorous, inquisitive testing framework.
Who are you?
Highly analytical with an understanding of statistical modelling, forecasting and pricing best practice. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand complex business drivers and structures. Experience working with large complex datasets.
The ability to identify, evaluate and develop customer value management strategies and promotional tactics that optimise customer and business outcomes for subscriptions and circulation.
Strong customer and commercial leadership, presentation skill and stakeholder management to optimise consumer value for the business
Experience in B2B or platform/partnership pricing and commercial rate cards is highly regarded
Project management skills to support business case development and stakeholder engagement through to Senior Leadership decision support.
