Job Description

Provide operational support for consumer lending activities by performing loan maintenance, collateral administration, quality control reviews, and customer service functions. This position supports lending staff, customers, and other associates by ensuring consumer loan transactions are processed accurately and timely while maintaining compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain loan files, collateral records, and related documentation in an organized and secure manner.
  • Perform maintenance and servicing functions on consumer loan accounts.
  • Process collateral releases, including UCC filings, electronic liens and titles, and deposit account collateral releases.
  • Complete quality control reviews and participate in collateral audits as assigned.
  • Process loan-related refunds, overpayments, and rejected payment adjustments.
  • Respond to customer, lending staff, and associate inquiries regarding loan account information and servicing matters. Provide professional and courteous customer service by phone and in person.
  • Provide backup support and cross-functional assistance within Loan Operations as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
  • Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards.

Qualifications

CORE QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two years of general office, administrative, banking, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when processing transactions and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This role works in a standard office environment and involves extended periods at a computer, regular communication in person and by phone, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
