Description

Job Purpose:Defining and driving the strategic vision for the Consumer Portfolio’s Early Warning framework. Additionally anticipating, identifying, and mitigating emerging risks across the non-delinquent consumer banking portfolio to safeguard the bank’s financial stability and enhance decision-making as well as developing advanced risk identification systems, ensuring timely interventions, and supporting the bank’s overall resilience and growth.Job Description:1.Oversee the strategic direction for the early warning framework, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall risk appetite and long-term objectives.2.Establish the early warning framework as a critical enabler for proactive risk mitigation, ensuring it is embedded into the bank’s broader risk management and business planning strategies to maintain prudent portfolio quality.3.Introduce models factoring in macro and micro economic dynamics and assess their impact on the forward-looking trends to set pre-emptive controls.4.Champion innovation by integrating cutting-edge technologies, such as AI/ML, and leveraging data-driven insights to refine the bank’s approach to identifying and addressing emerging risks.5.Building Scenario analysis estimates using probable combinations of events including quantitative & qualitative, or both to enhance credit policies and tackle the overlooked opportunities.6.Collaborate with senior leadership across Collections, Product, and Policy teams to design forward-looking risk mitigation strategies that support sustainable portfolio quality and growth.7.Put a framework for regular assessment of macroeconomic and market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to develop risk management strategies.8.Collaborate with IT and Data Science teams to future-proof the early warning infrastructure, ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing market and regulatory environments.9.Leverage the behavioral Scoring models to identify the risk profile, track and predict credit risk factors.10.Lead the development of multidimensional models to integrate lifestyle, geographic, demographic, and transactional data for clustering customers into different risk levels and build estimation and future looking models accordingly.11.Guide the Collection efforts and create tailored dynamic strategies to take early actions and intensify collection efforts for customers who are identified under watch lists.12.Lead the development of Heat maps and Segment Analysis Dashboards to closely monitor the changes in transactional behaviour of customers to identify key performance triggersOversee the plans of managing the emerged Unlikely to Pay portfolios, provide detailed analysis on accounts classifications and provide recommendations to allow faster and more effective management of those portfolios.Strategy13.Participate in the formulation and implementation of the Early Waring Department strategy to ensure the alignment with CIB strategy.Policies, Processes and Procedures14.Participate and recommend improvements to policies, processes and procedures and manage their implementation to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.Day- to-day Management15.Supervise the day-to-day operations of the team providing and providing guidance in the related areas. encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.Supervision16.Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures.Compliance17.Ensure compliance with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSQualifications & Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.· Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Consumer Banking/ Business & Strategic Analytics or relevant fields.Skills· Understanding of unsecured lending business.· Proper product Knowledge of all Consumer Products.· Project Management skills.· Customer focus; strong record of achievement in applying a customer mind-set to shape solutions and approaches and to drive change/achieve business goals.

Commercial International Bank was established in 1975 as a joint venture between the National Bank of Egypt (NBE, 51%) and the Chase Manhattan Bank (49%) under the name "Chase National Bank of Egypt”.
